My problems with France Telecom

Since September 1999, I work in Paris area and return in my native Toulouse area for the (school) holidays.
I thus have 2 residences, which also meaned 2 lines of fixed telephone, one at each address.

I had arranged myself to receive my 2 telephone invoices in Paris area towards the same date and I used to sent the 2 payments in the same envelope since both were to be dispatched with the same address in Limoges.

In February 2002, I had received only one of the invoices before my departure on holiday, and I knew very well that on my return, it would be already too late to pay them. Already in 1990, they had made me stories because I had paid an invoice at the beginning of September rather than in August while I was abroad.
I thus sent the TIP of the received invoice and an estimated cheque of the other invoice (with Juste 0,01 € of error) by mentioning the concerned telephone number.

Two months later, the 2 invoices being incoherent, I joined to my payment a large letter of explanations so that they correct the error.

In June, there was one to have on my invoice of the Paris area and a fine for delay of payment for the one of Toulouse. Besides I will note on my return that this line had been closed with the outgoing calls, and it will be necessary to wait nearly one week before the line to be restored.

Explanation of the "autres prestations" (other services) on the itemized bill

Following my protests, France Telecom will note that indeed people of the Paris area encashed my invoices for Toulouse without even preventing them! But if the countable situation of my Toulouse account were corrected, I did not have any compensation for the countable annoyances and partial closing of my line.

Worse!, on the 19 of september, during a simple test of a modem, I noted that it was my line of the Paris area which had been closed with the outgoing calls because of the TIP of February that France Telecom never wanted to encash and that I refused to pay one 2nd time! Rather than to continue to negotiate with these fools, I asked for the following day the cancellation of my 2 lines.

Consequence : I have a portable telephone (not from Orange network!) and for Internet, there remains to me nothing but ADSL access on my place of work.
